- You must pick against the spread in anywhere from 2 to 6 games each week.
- Official point spreads are the spreads listed on This Week on this website. Those spreads are pulled from the Yahoo! Sports app on Thursday mornings.
- You must email your picks to Craig before 11 a.m. Saturday. But if you choose a non-Saturday game (a Thursday, for instance), you can email just that pick before that day and email the other picks to Craig by the 11 a.m. Saturday deadline.
- Each week, games from six pre-selected conferences are eligible for play. The exceptions to this rule are weeks 1, 2, 14 and 15 when all games are eligible. There are only 11 conferences (counting Independents) and there is an extra week in the schedule this year. This necessitated the change. Also, there are a limited number of games in Week 15.
- You may only pick one game from each eligible conference. However, it’s possible to have two or more games from one conference, provided they are non-conference games involving a team from another eligible conference.
- Games involving an FCS team are not eligible and will not be listed (example: LSU vs. Towson would not be eligible even if the SEC is in play).
- Example: SEC and Pac-12 are among eligible conferences in a given week.
- Theoretically, you could pick Florida at Texas A&M (SEC) and Washington (Pac-12) at LSU because Washington would be your designated Pac-12 team for the week.
- You will designate one game as your Gamebreaker. That pick will receive double the point value.
Scoring
- Plus or minus total on each game that equals number of games picked for the week (first seven weeks of season).
- The total for each game is added and that is your number of points won or lost for the week.
- Example: You pick Florida (Gamebreaker), Washington and ULL.
- The Washington and ULL picks will have a plus-3 or minus-3 attached to them.
- The Florida pick will have a plus-6 or minus-6 attached to it (a plus-3 or minus-3 times 2 because it’s the Gamebreaker).
- You get the Florida and ULL picks right, but miss on Washington.
- Your points for the week are plus-6: Florida (+6), Washington (-3), ULL (+3)
- Scoring for the last seven weeks of the regular season is the same as above, with one exception: ALL POINT VALUES ARE DOUBLED. So in the example above, the score for the week would be plus-12.
Final FOC
- You must have a season total of plus-3 points or higher to be eligible to participate.
- All bowl games are eligible for picks.
- You must select exactly three games.
- You must put at least one point on each game, but no more than 50 percent of your total points on any one game.
- Your net Final Jeopardy total after the bowls is added to your season total.
- Example: You have plus-18 points for the season.
- You pick Florida, Washington and ULL.
- You must put at least one point on each game.
- You may use up no more than nine points on any one game.
- You decide to put nine on Florida, six on Washington and one on ULL.
- You win Florida (+9) and ULL (+1), lose Washington (-6).
- You end up with plus-4 points for Final Jeopardy.
- This is added to your season total of plus-18 for a final total of plus-22.
